Some of the biggest issues facing police officers will be debated on Day 2 of the Police Federation of England and Wales’ annual national conference today.
There’s a packed programme for the Federation’s first online conference, highlighting the issues, topics and problems that matter to members.
The morning session starts with discussions on Trial by Media and Use of Force – Objective or Subjective, and continues with Investing in Investigators and Understanding Misogyny in Policing.
Recruitment During the Pandemic, Policing With Privilege?, Policing Protests and the Challenge of Difference are among the topics up for discussion in the afternoon as well as New Regs – New Culture?, Wellbeing, Driving Change and a Federation elections update.
Gwent Federation chair Steve Thorpe said: “The conference got off to a really good start on Day 1 with lots of discussions on the theme of the conference, Policing Under Pressure.
“Today will focus on many more of the issues that matter to our members and it promises to be another lively day.”
