The vital role performed by Police Federation workplace representatives will be highlighted at an online Election Café which takes today ahead of the start of the triennial election process in July.
Gwent branch members are being encouraged to attend the fourth and final event to learn more about the role and it is hoped some might be inspired to put their names forward.
The Election Café event is part of the ongoing Reps@Work campaign which highlights the vital work carried out by workplace reps.
Branch secretary Annalea Kift said: “The Election Café is open to all Federation members and we would particularly urge members from under-represented groups to register, attend and find out more.
“The elections start next month and this event gives members one last chance to have an informal chat with those currently in the role and find out more about the challenges and rewards of the rep role.
“And it might just spur someone on who has considered standing for election but has not yet made their mind up. We would encourage all our members to register and attend.”
The Election Café will be open from 2pm until 3pm on Monday 21 June.
